We invite you to be part of the international canoe sprint competition “Ageev brothers Cup and Olympic Champions Postrigay and Dyachenko“.
In 2017 we organised this event for the first time in Moscow where more than 600 athletes from all over Russia and Europe gathered and competed at one place.
The first day of competition will see traditional 200m and 500m races in K1 and C1 boats across all ages. Then, the second day will feature relays where paddlers race in age groups in single boats and then converge for a mixed K2 relay. There will also be the unique ‘Fathers and Children’ K2/C2 race where crews are formed on the principle of direct kinship with the sex and age of the participant not mattering.
Then, the third day of competition will be the SUPERSPRINT day, which is open to international competitors. This will see athletes race head to head in K1 and C1 over the non-traditional distance of 100m. It will be attended by world-famous athletes, world champions and Olympic champions from Russia and other countries. In addition to winning medals, there are also very generous cash prizes offered to competitors over 19 years old.
This year the winners of the “SUPERSPRINT” in category 19+ men’s K1 will receive a cash prize, considered the largest in the history of competition in canoeing: 10,000 euros, 5,000 euros and 2,500 euros for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
In category 19+ C1 men and women and K1 women the cash prize will be 2,000, 1,000 and 500 Euros for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
In its 16th year, the AAA Cup is growing rapidly. With the event being open to paddlers of all ages, showcasing some very exciting and unique formats, its ability to inspire the next generation of paddlers, further promote the current champions and encourage comradery is unparalleled.
